Quick answers

Getting started

What is Lefover?

A money app that works in cycles, not months. Connect your bank once, and Lefover shows what is safe to spend: money in checking, minus the bills still due this cycle, minus what you set aside.

Who is Lefover for?

Anyone who knows their bank balance but still isn't sure what they can actually spend. If you have opened your banking app, seen a number, and felt unsure rather than confident, Lefover is built for you.

What devices does Lefover support?

Lefover is a mobile app for iPhone and Android. There is no web or desktop version of the product. This site explains it; the app lives on your phone.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Fourteen days, with full access to every feature. The trial runs through your app store account, and if you cancel before day 14 ends you are not charged.

Connecting accounts

How do I connect my bank?

From the app. You sign in through your bank's own connection flow, on your device, and authorize a read-only connection. Your credentials are entered in your bank's own flow, not on Lefover's servers.

Which banks does Lefover work with?

Lefover connects through the standard read-only bank connection available in each region it operates in. If your bank does not connect, write to us and we will look into it.

How many accounts can I connect?

Up to three. Any mix of checking and credit. Savings accounts are not tracked because Lefover is about money you'll spend, not money you've already moved to savings. Credit cards are watched for utilization alerts and kept out of your safe-to-spend number.

What happens if I disconnect an account?

Disconnect from the Menu tab, under Accounts and connections, whenever you want. It asks for your device biometric or passcode again, and it is destructive: it removes that bank's accounts, its bills, and its transaction history.

How the cycle works

What is a cycle in Lefover?

A cycle is the money you live on until the next reset. In regular mode the reset is payday, so for most people a cycle is two weeks or a month. In runway mode the reset is your cycle day, on a rhythm you choose. Every calculation runs on the cycle, and the safe-to-spend number answers one question: what is left through the rest of this cycle.

How does Lefover detect my paycheck?

From the deposits arriving in your connected accounts. Lefover shows every recurring inflow it found and you pick the ones that are yours, more than one if several incomes run on different schedules. Cycles anchor to those paydays from then on.

What if my paycheck is late?

The cycle moves with it. Lefover anchors to the day money actually lands, not the calendar, so a late paycheck extends the current cycle until the deposit arrives. The notice waits two days past the expected date.

I don't have a regular paycheck. Can I still use Lefover?

Yes. Runway mode drops the payday anchor and resets on your cycle day instead, on a rhythm you choose: weekly, every two weeks, twice a month, or monthly. What is left spreads into an even daily pace across the rest of the cycle, and a fresh one opens on the next cycle day.

Pricing and billing

How much does Lefover cost?

One plan. $15.99 a month, or $175.99 a year (about a month free). Every feature is included. There is no premium tier and no upsell.

How does the 14-day trial work?

You start with 14 days of the full product. Billing runs through your app store account, and you are not charged if you cancel before day 14 ends. After the trial, the plan you picked begins.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Any time, through your device's subscription settings. The app store applies the change the way it handles any subscription switch.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your device's subscription settings and you keep access through the end of the period you paid for. If your subscription stays lapsed, your data is deleted after 90 days, with a reminder before that happens.

Privacy and security

Can Lefover move money?

No. The bank connection is read-only. It can see transactions, and it cannot move money or pay anyone. The security page covers this claim by claim.

What data do you store?

Your transactions and balances from the connected accounts, the income and bill patterns detected from them, your preferences, and an access token for the bank connection, encrypted. Your bank credentials are not among it; they are entered in your bank's own flow.

How is my data protected?

Everything travels encrypted between the app and Lefover, and before sensitive actions the app proves it is a genuine, unmodified build. Sensitive tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. The security page lists every claim we make, and none we cannot.

Where does my data live?

In the region you signed up in. Separate databases for the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Your data lives in yours and stays there.

Account and data

How do I delete my account?

From the app, yourself, any time. Menu tab, then Danger zone. Your device asks for your biometric or passcode before it runs, then deletion completes 30 days later and an email states the date. You can keep your account any time in that window. If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the address on the account.

What happens to my data if my subscription lapses?

It is deleted after 90 days, with a reminder before that happens. Come back inside that window and your history is still there.

What happens if I change regions?

You start a new account in the new region. Your region is picked before sign-up and stays with the account, and data stays in its region, so the account stays where it was opened. The old account stays yours until you delete it.

Troubleshooting

A transaction shows up twice. What do I do?

That is usually the bank posting the same transaction twice, once pending and once cleared, and it normally resolves on its own once the bank settles it. If it stays doubled, write to us from the app and we will look at it.

My safe-to-spend number looks wrong.

Open the number's breakdown in the app. It shows exactly what was subtracted: the bills still due this cycle and the money you set aside in reserves. Most of the time the surprise is a bill you did not expect to land this cycle.

I didn't get a paycheck notification.

Check that notifications are enabled for Lefover in your device settings. If they are, the bank may not have posted the deposit yet; Lefover speaks when the money actually lands.

The app crashed. How do I report it?

Reopen the app and use the support flow on the Menu tab to tell us what happened. Diagnostics are scrubbed of personal data before they leave the device, so what we receive is technical detail, not your finances.
