Delete your account

Updated · August 2026

You can delete your Lefover account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. This page covers how, what happens over the following 30 days, and what to do if you no longer have access to the app.

Delete from the app

  1. Open Lefover and go to the Menu tab.
  2. Scroll to Danger zone.
  3. Choose Delete account and follow the confirmation screen.

If your phone has a fingerprint, face, or passcode lock set up, it asks you to confirm with it before the request goes through. That step exists so nobody who picks up your unlocked phone can delete your account on your behalf.

What happens next

Deletion takes 30 days to complete. We email you as soon as you ask, and that email states the exact date your account and its data are permanently removed.

During those 30 days:

  • Your account is paused. You can open the app, but the features are off.
  • Nothing is lost. Your history is still there.
  • You can change your mind.

When the 30 days are up, your account and its data are permanently deleted, the bank connection is removed, and we send one final email confirming it. That last step cannot be undone.

If you change your mind

Open the app and choose Keep my account on the screen that shows your deletion date. That is all it takes. Your account goes back to normal and we email you to confirm.

If you are signed out, sign in first. Signing in during the 30 days works and takes you straight to that screen. Signing in does not by itself cancel the deletion, so you still have to choose.

If you cannot sign in

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account, and neither does letting it sit unused.

If you no longer have the app, cannot get back into your account, or would simply rather not do it yourself, email [email protected] from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. Send it from that address: we verify that the request comes from the account holder before scheduling anything, and we cannot act on a request from an address we do not recognize.

Once we have verified it, the same 30-day process runs, and you get the same emails at the same points.

What about my subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through your phone’s app store. That billing lives with the store, not with Lefover, so cancel it there. Where your phone can open the subscription screen directly, the confirmation screen in the app links you to it.

What is kept

A small amount of information survives deletion because the law requires it: payment and refund records, the referral reward ledger, and a log of security-relevant actions on the account. Each of those is stripped of your name and email address. Everything else, your transactions, balances, bills, cycles, goals, reserves, and preferences, is gone. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.
